SUPPLIED ART SPECIFICATIONS

FILE FORMAT:

Preferred Applications:

For Town Planner:  Quark (Mac) 6.5; Photoshop 7 or higher, EPS or TIF files

For East Ridge Hometown:  We do all artwork, but for those who prefer to send their own artwork:

Artwork must be done on InDesign, Quark or Photoshop (Mac compatible).
EPS or TIFF files (300 dpi)
JPEG's must be high resolution and meet minimum quality requirements.

FONTS:
Type 1 Postscript fonts (screen & printer)
NO Truetype. 5 pt. type minimum and no auto leading.
DO NOT bold, italicize, shadow, outline or underline
type in the styles toolbox or floating palette.   Use the
actual font or create it in an illustration program and
create outlines.  

COLOR:
ALL colors must be in CYMK (NO RGB) mode, process
separation on.  DO NOT embed any color profiles.

IMAGES:
All image files above must meet the the following
resolution requirements.  If using a digital camera,
please shoot at highest resolution. For smaller photos, 3 megapixel's should work. For larger photos, please use a minimum of 5 megapixels set on highest resolution setting.

Resolution - 300 dpi at 100%.
Continuous Tone or Grayscale:  Min 300 dpi - max 450 dpi.
Bitmapped:  min 300 dpi - max 1200 dpi

TIFF or EPS format (native AL & PS files accepted
with InDesign

The following is a list of things that CAN NOT Be accepted:

1. NO files created in the following applications:

• Multi-Ad Creator (unless exported as EPS)
• Word Perfect
• Publisher
• Powerpoint
• Excel

2.  NO low resolution images. All images must comply with listed
specifications.

3.  NO images in the following formats:
    PICT, CT, DCS, RIFF, OPI, GIF, BMP, PCX, PNBG, TARGA, IFF PIXAR, WPX,
Metafiles.

4.  We do not accept supplied film.  We do have the latest version of
Photoshop which can open a variety of image formats.

Supply required elements in either .SEA, .SIT or .ZIP format.  We will also
accept either single small photos or vector graphics in .TIF, .JPG, .EPS OR
.PDF
